Harley," regarding the twenty-five copies of Southward ho! notes of a tour to and through the state of Georgia in the winter of 1885-1886 Harley is sending to Mell for distribution to Mell's students.

Letter dated August 26, 1859, Macon, written to P. H. Mell from James Stewart. Stewart is contemplating doing a series of sermons of various denominations of Georgia. These, along with a portrait of the author, will be published in the "Georgia Pulpit." Stewart wants Mell to send a sermon along with an ambrotype for publication. Stewart wants to change the purpose and name of the "Southern Methodist" and the "Georgia Pulpit" will be its successor.
